Monique Patterson – Founder & CEO

Monique Patterson is an accomplished and premier event planner who has established a name for herself and company “Monique’s Events”. Monique has over 15 years of experience as an Event Planner focusing on Creating Signature Events in all aspects of the event planning industry. Monique’s Events is based out of Ohio, and has been recognized for being one of the best of Cincinnati, OH. Monique’s Events has planned and managed Corporate, Social, Wedding, and Bereavement events both nationally and locally. The reputation of this company supersedes itself being known and recognized for Professionalism, Creativity, and Dedication.

Monique was led to embark on her Event Planning career after being a previous owner of a Bridal Shop. Monique quotes that her purpose in life is to “SERVE THE PEOPLE”. She has a passion for helping others. Monique has been able to use her business as a platform to create signature events such as: “I’m Every Woman Garden Tea” focusing on encouraging, motivating and inspiring women, and Monique’s Events “Table Decorating Contest” showcasing decorating talent. Monique believes in giving back to the community through volunteering, sponsorship, creating standards of excellence and raising the bar of professionalism. She is a proud volunteer for the Louella Thompson “Feed The Hungry Project”, Junior Achievement, an advisory board member of (SELF) Support to Encourage Low Income Families, and an active and life long member of Tried Stone Baptist Church in Middletown Ohio.

Monique and her staff are dedicated and devoted to creating memorable events. The outgoing personalities of the staff of Monique’s Events contribute to their ability to tailor and contour events to fit the personality of their clients. Monique’s gifts of organizing, attention to detail, creative imagination, concept design and contagious enthusiasm have earned her a reputation for unparalleled excellence as an event planner and designer.

Monique’s corporate experience and background is in Human Resources focusing on HR Administration, Recruiting, and Resource Development with a focus on Fundraising. Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Management, an Associate of Art in Communication Art, and a Certification in Human Resources Management. She is a member of the Wilberforce University Alumni Association (Class of 1998). In 2015, Monique’s Events became a State of Ohio MBE (Minority Business Enterprise)/EDGE (Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity) certified business. Monique has also been honored as a Silent Hero for her volunteer work in Middletown and the surrounding communities. In her spare time, Monique enjoys spending time with her family and pet poodle BJ, volunteering, shopping, watching movies, singing, and wreath making.

Kimberly Patterson – Sr. Event Coordinator and Decorator Designer

Kimberly is a founding staff member of Monique’s Events. Since its inception, Kimberly has truly been the driver and catalyst for Monique’ Events as the Sr. Event Coordinator and Decorating Designer. Her dedication and commitment to her roles are responsible for the tremendous growth and accolades of the business. Kimberly is Monique’s Events. Her caring and compassionate personality shows through her work. She is known for her creativity and designing signature events.

Kimberly enjoys her gift of serving and helping those in need in her community. A very active and dedicated member of her church, she enjoys singing, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Kenzel Patterson – Sr. Event Decorator and Designer

Kenzel joined our design team as an Event Designer while still attending High School in 2013. His talent quickly emerged and he was promoted to a Sr. Event Decorator and Designer in 2015. Kenzel has a unique eye for decorating and design. He is known for his outstanding event design and décor and is constantly receiving rave reviews. Also a fashion designer, Kenzel’s talents for creating original accessories range from independently designed and hand made bow ties for men, to costumes , sports uniforms with accompanying items such as hair bows for cheerleaders, and exclusively and personally designed clothing items are in regular demand.

He is currently a student at Miami University, majoring in Community Arts (BA) , with a Fashion Design Minor (Class of 2018), and will acquire an Associate of Arts degree in Fine Arts May 2017. His hobbies include music, cooking, and decorating. An anointed and talented performer, his dedication and passion is serving God and leading as the Worship Arts Director at his church.

Cynthia Turner – Event Assistant

Cynthia started her career with Monique’s Events as a temporary Event Assistant, which quickly evolved to a permanent position. Along with her warm personality, she brings years of experience in customer service and management.

Cynthia is a native of Dayton, OH. She enjoys giving back to her community by volunteering and being an active member of various charitable organizations. Her hobbies include shopping, community service, and playing golf.

Bobbi Benton – Event Assistant

Bobbie Benton joined our team immediately following her wedding in 2014. Bobbie became interested in joining the staff of Monique’s Events after being a former bridal client. She enjoys working with people, and is known for her outstanding personality and professionalism.

A native of Middletown, Ohio, Bobbie brings years of experience in public relations and customer service. Her radiant personality shines as she has the gift to make everyone who is in her presence feel special. In her spare time she is very active in her church and enjoys spending time with her family.
